I started working with children in high school as a volunteer in a children center for two years, then worked as an aide for another two years followed by working as a substitute teacher for another two years. I love being outdoors, i enjoy hiking, camping, traveling, spending time with family and taking my nieces and nephews out for play dates. I enjoy working with children because it is rewarding to be a part of their development. i am passionate about making learning fun so children can enjoy every second at school and daycare. I enjoy finding different ways to help children overcome personal challenges . I love creating different lessons plans, games, activities to keep children engaged and excited for what is next. I get the best feeling when I see children excited about an accomplishment that us as teachers were able to be apart of!"

Meiling AdamsTeacher's Aide"I’ve finished my education at SJSU in English, but have plans to go back to get my second degree in the spring. I’ve been a dancer for 22 years and also taught dance for 6 years. I love working with children because they are the future. Getting to be a part of their upbringing and education is a lot of work, but it comes with plenty of reward. The best parts of y day are all the stories I get to share with my friends and family."

Alyssa AvilaTeacher"I have recently graduated from San Jose State with a Bachelors degree in Psychology. Outside of work and school I enjoy going to the gym, playing softball, watching movies, and going on long adventurous hikes. I enjoy working with kids because it is so rewarding watching them grow and learn each and everyday. To this day I still remember my after school teachers and the impact they had on childhood, and I hope to do that for our kids as well."
