Tennis

WGCEDEP hosts tennis lessons taught by certified tennis coach Leslie Johnson. These lessons are optional, and teach the fundamental skills of tennis. Classes are taught using USTA 10 and under tennis guidelines with small racquets, low nets, and soft balls. The focus for the children is learning the four strokes of tennis, and how to rally.

Tennis lessons are $40 per student for 4 one-hour sessions. The students have the option of bringing their own tennis racquet, borrowing a racquet, or buying a new $15 tennis racquet to keep. This is a great opportunity for children to learn a new sport while being active and having fun.

Tennis sign ups are usually offered twice during the fall semester, and 3 times during the spring/summer semester. Sign ups are on a first come first serve basis. Space is limited!
